FIFA WWC: Lightmoves assists AAMI Park in preparation for Women’s World Cup

Melbourne & Olympic Parks has unveiled a range of improvements to AAMI Park in the run up to the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

“We’ve upgraded our videoboards to be 3x the size of our existing video boards, to make sure everyone can see all the action”, AAMI Park’s Venue Manager, Simon Blakeney, has revealed.

Lightmoves provided power control and a PDTS touchscreen via EQUANS for the fantastic new curved videoboards. Custom FIFA WWC-themed media was also created for the roof.

“Another key aspect for us was our LED lighting program. The LED lights ensure that the best seats in the house, no matter where you are, [are] here in the stadium”, added Simon.

Lightmoves was instrumental in deploying controls for 320 new Philips Dynalite ArenaVision sport lights, ensuring compliancy to FIFA broadcast standards.

Level control & integration to the Ross dashboard ensures lighting effects are aligned to videoboard content. Power and level control is integrated into the site-wide System Manager for ease of control.

Sold-out crowds are expected across all six Melbourne matches! It is going to be a spectacular month for fans.

Lightmoves has been involved in AAMI Park since the beginning. For more information on the LED and lighting control at AAMI Park, see our project case study.
